From 2020 on, PortoCartoon will tune its main theme with major UN concerns for the next decade. The structuring themes of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) will allow new humorous approaches.
For 2020 we chose SDGs 1, 2 and 10 for their thematic articulation: Eradicate Hunger and Poverty, Reduce Inequalities.

The Cartoonists Association of Nigeria, CARTAN elects its first substantive executive members. The association which was duly registered by the Corporate Affairs Commission of Nigeria is issued with the Certificate of Incorporation with the CAC/ITNO 136721 and dated October 4, 2019.
De Tijd looks ahead in the 1920s and is looking for up-and-coming and established cartoon talent who can capture the new decade. A backpack full of experience is not a necessity, a quirky view of the world is. The best entries have a chance to win a cash prize and will be published in the weekend newspaper of 1 February.
